Where to Play Disc Golf in Philadelphia

Disc golf is a growing sport that has been around since the 70’s. Since the 70’s there has been a disc golf scene in Philadelphia’s Fairmont Park section that not many know about.

Sedgley Woods

Sedgley woods has been a staple in the Philadelphia disc golf community for decades, welcoming golfers from all over the country. On any given day there could be over a hundred disc golfers between the recreational players as well as league players.

Sedgley is a place where you’re just as welcome as a beginner as you are a pro. Make sure to find Jake to see all of the local lines and run far far away when you hear the name Hero.

Edgley Fields

Edgley is an extremely challenging 9 hole course. Most people play the 9 holes twice. You’re basically playing around an Ultimate field. Some of the line are almost impossible but for good reason. The course designer’s goal was to make it challenging even for the top pros.

Hole 9 is a nice fun bomb shot.

Haverford Reserve

Haverford Reserve is perfect for those looking for a nice hike. Besides for that the holes are great for beginners. The best part about this area is the plentiful fields to practice on before or after you play.

That’s about everything within 20 minutes of Philadelphia. If you venture further into the suburbs or north near allentown you will find some amazing layouts as well.
